Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS) was established in 2021 through the merger of Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) and Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT). TUS is a multi-campus university serving the midlands and midwest regions of Ireland, with campuses in Athlone, Limerick, Clonmel, and Thurles.
TUS is nationally recognised for its strengths in engineering, hospitality management, business, social care, and computing. The university is home to leading research centres in areas including applied polymer technology, software engineering, and materials science. Undergraduate
- Academic: Completion of 12 years of education with satisfactory grades equivalent to Irish Leaving Certificate
- IELTS: 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5)
- TOEFL: 80 (internet-based)
- PTE Academic: 56
- Application: Via CAO or TUS International Office direct application

Postgraduate
- Academic: Bachelor's degree with Second Class Honours (2:2) or equivalent GPA
- IELTS: 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0)
